Weekend Finds

I was so disappointed that the flea market got rained out. But I've got my fingers crossed for next Sunday. I think it would make a lovely Mother's Day outing! All of my finds for this past week are from garage sales, Ebay, and antique stores. I think I made a very unflattering sound when I saw that pink tray! Not a squeal. More like an "oooaahhgg" type of sound! And an equally loud noise for that pink pottery piece!

This vintage sheet music was won on Ebay. I thought it would look nice with all of my patriotic decorations.

And I certainly couldn't pass up this old postcard. If it says "Old Glory" on it, don't I have to have it?

Four melamine plates, just perfect for summer dining on the porch!

A little white pottery poochie planter.

It goes rather nicely with my other white dog and cat planters.

And last is a McCoy pot from what was probably the stinkiest estate sale I've ever been to. As I walked up the driveway, I saw this right away and grabbed it. As I continued up the driveway, I was hit with wave after wave of cat urine. Needless to say, I did not continue into the house! Well, I hope you found some treasures this weekend, and you didn't have to hold your breath to get them!

I'd say you had a very successful weekend of shopping! I went to a flea market this weekend with my mom. I didn't find a lot but had a good time spending the afternoon with my mother.
Have a great week.

Makes it hard to bargain down the price when you squeel. I know, I do it to when I see somthing I love. The seller knows they've got you right where they want you!

How many trays do you have?
Hugs,
Dawn

I've been to some of those estate sales that linger in your nostrils after you leave!! I just consider it one of the hazzards of our occupation...the price we pay for McCoy pottery and other goodies!

Love the Pink tray and vase but the little white dog planter is soooo sweet! Not bad for a rainy weekend!

I just keep coming over to your place and see all the stuff I want and just stand there drooling. The pink tray, pot and the McCoy. Just fabulous.

Hi Carol -
You really scored on your lovely treasures...I squealed when I saw the pretty pink tray....so lovely. You're braver than me....I've been to a smelly estate sale...I didn't purchase anything...I just turned around and left.
Have a great day,
Toni

Good finds in spite of the flea getting rained out! Love the litte poochie planter and of course the pink tray.

I know what you mean about the houses that smell of cat urine or worse. I have been in some doozies...can you imagine living like that?

I think I whooped when I saw the pink tray, too, and it's not even mine. We have twin yellow flowerpots now - yay!

Hi Carol,
I have the same pretty pink tray. It was gifted to me from my friend, Rose, before she died!
I think you did well...and YES...we went into a stinky and moldy house...and I had a cough attack..NOT FUN...what a gal does for treasures!
Warmly,
Deb :)

I fully understand that sound. That tray is amazing. I've never seen anything like it - black, always, but pink - WOW!
