My Weekend Finds

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but the garage sales and the flea market were the pits. Again! It's getting harder and harder to get motivated to roll myself out of bed at 5:30AM to go to the flea market when there aren't any good treats waiting there for me. Wait a minute, I just made myself sound like a dog or a cat, didn't I?!

I found this Napco Easter Bunny, and that little doggie thing, which was Made In Japan. Do you suppose it's a toothpick holder?

Two cute decks of cards.

Ok, I'm pretty happy about this vintage hairspray holder!

Some vintage bling, to add to my bling jar.

Somebody asked to see my bling jar. Well, here it is! Nothing fancy, and it serves no purpose whatsoever, except to look pretty and shiny and make me happy!

I had to bring it outside to get a decent picture, and it's woefully empty because I only spend $1 or less on each piece. So if you have lots of pieces of rhinestone bling, and you also have a jar, you too could start your very own bling jar today! Or not. So, what did you find this weekend? Any cheap bling?

It looks like you came home with a few good finds. I love the idea of a bling jar but it's getting hard to find old rhinestone bling for a good price anymore...I think my jar would be pretty small :-)
Have a great week.

First of all, I agree, lawn sales have been pretty bad lately, I didn't even get up this saturday to find any before opening up the shop. I needed the sleep. So there I am reading about your bling jar thinking that I wanted to see it, and even remembered that I had asked you about it. Lo and behold there was the jar with your comment that someone had asked about it. Yes, it was I. We got to get you some more bling. By the way, I am still looking for my little statute of liberty that will be coming your way. We actually had a couple of cool days that I could finally venture up into the attic. Have a great day.

Good Morning Carol Sweetie...
What a beautiful share this morning. Oh I love your finds. I thought you said you didn't find anything.

That hair spray container, I remember my MIL had one. I don't know but I think Moma did too. I will have to ask. I love it.

A bling jar? Oh my. I don't have any bling, but I think I am going to start collecting. And yes I think I will have to find me a bling jar. Oh thank you for sharing.

Maybe you should start a BLING DAY during the week, and have everyone share their blind finds. I love it.

Have a gorgeous Monday sweetie. Thanks for taking me along on your finds today.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

I think you did pretty well for someone who didn't find anything good! The toothpick holder is cute.

I've been collecting bling for a while so I have the bling just not a bling-worthy jar. I must find one.

Wait! Are you telling me this is NOT a good haul? Ahem...PINK POODLE PLAYING CARDS? And rhinestones...And a vintage hair spray thingie? Honey, your standards are higher than mine. By the way, put a lit candle in that hair spray holder and set it on your mantel, you won't believe the amazing shadows on your walls!

Hey Carol, thanks for stopping in again=) I love the idea of a bling jar! Too neat=)I bet part of the fun is finding pieces a little at the time to fill it up=) Gives you something to look forward to.

What did I find...that candlestick I posted today and the books...I also re-vamped a couple of old frames AND, my big find for the weekend was a solid mahogany end table for $6!!!! I'll have it posted here in a day or so=)

Carol that old Brachs jar brings back alot of memories! Mama would buy two of them each Christmas and put them on top of the TV in the living room. They were decorations until Christmas morning and then my sister and I could have them! I have one in my collection but it doesn't have the original sticker like yours!

Blessings
