Vintage Christmas For Rednesday!!
It's Rednesday over at It's A Very Cherry World! When you're done looking at my reds, please head over to Sue's, where she hosts this very RED party every week!
First we have my daughter's December angel. She will be turning 21 on the 12th! Holy guacamole, where has the time gone!! I have an April angel for my birthday, and I've been thinking it would be nice to have one for every month. Where would I put them all? I have no idea. Maybe I better rethink this brilliant idea of mine! Oh, and isn't that pointy jar behind her fabulous?! I saw it at a thrift store about a week ago, thought I had more than enough jars, and left it there. Went home, couldn't stop thinking about it, two days later I crossed my fingers, hoping it was still there.....and obviously it was! Looooove it!
I also love this little old tin with the red deer on it, because I have a little deer just like it. Wouldn't it have been great if I could have found that deer, so that I could have put it next to the tin for this picture? Yes, it would have. Still digging around, looking for all of my deer.
These trays are sitting on an old cedar trunk that I use for a coffee table. Some people would call these trays tacky. Some of those people actually live in this house! In the middle is a ceramic tray that someone handpainted. I've developed a fondness for these things lately. Someone put in alot of time in ceramics class, painting them and then waiting for them to be fired in a kiln I guess. I have two light-up Christmas trees that were also hand painted. Two more things to dig out!
And finally, we have an old Lefton Santa, with his heaping bag of satin ornaments. It was a beautiful sunny day today, so I thought I should take the opportunity to take these pictures right away. It must have been too sunny in the background, because this one looks so gloomy. One day I will learn to take good pictures! Now please head over to Sue's with me to see lots more reds!

Thanks for sharing your reds! I especially like the Santa in the last photo! Very nostalgic, very cute! :) Laura
Everything is adorable, and your blog is so cheery and beautiful. I know what you mean about the jar - I do that so many times - talk myself out of something and then need it when I'm home! LOL I used to take jars like that and fill them with woodsy things and make terrariums out of them. I sold them in a little gardening store when I was a teen!
Really like your reindeer! He's great!! I got an elf and a snowman this year that are just great!! I, as always, LOVE your wednesday offerings!!
Hugs, Lisa
I love it all. Those bring back so many nostalgic memories. I especially love the ceramic santa. In fact I really enjoy your whole blog for that same reason.
I am having a giveaway over at my place. Hope you get to stop by.

Tacky? TACKY???? There is no such thing as tacky at Christmas! It's the season for all things, brilliant and beautiful and fun and over-the-top. Including your trays!
Lovely things... and I LOVE that little Lefton Santa with his pack. What a sweetie.

I actually love the picture of Santa. He is the star - front and center.
Carole love it all bu the Santa is just too cute. I must keep my eyes open for some display jars. Happy Rednesday!
Happy Rednesday! I just love visiting your blog and seeing all of your goodies!
Tacky is in the eye of the beholder...teehee!
Old or new, that glass jar is perfect! Those trays are NOT tacky! Tell your household members that I resemble that remark - lol! I love your Santa - that's one nice figurine and, no, it's not at all a gloomy photo!
