Vintage Christmas Monday!!

Monday is my favorite day of the week now, ever since Joan at Anything Goes Here started the Vintage Christmas Monday party! It's where we all share our vintage Christmas treasures, and Joan would like to invite YOU to join in too!

First we have a bunch of kneehugger elves that I have captured in this apothecary jar.

This little guy actually has his nosed pressed against the glass, trying to get out. Sorry li'l guy, you're in there 'til the second week in January, or thereabouts!

Next is a little girl with her arms full of packages. I so hope that the antique stores have all of their Christmas stuff half off on the day after, because I want more of these little girl figurines!

A "tacky" plastic plaque, with some old reindeer.

I found this plastic garland at a garage sale this past summer, and actually remembered where I put it, so that I could hang it on the mirror over the fireplace, with some bottlebrush wreaths.

A closer look at the garland and bottlebrush wreaths. So hard to get a decent picture of a mirror without having the cheesy Christmas movie on Lifetime that I'm watching reflected in it! Now head over to Joan's for a list of the other vintage partyers!

I love your little porcelain Lefton (?) figurine... they are precious...and I don't think your little wall hanging looks tacky, I love it too! Bisous... Julie Marie

Hi Carol,

Those elves are just toooo cute! I love how you displayed them in the jar. It does look like they are trying to get out. lol I had that exact plastic garland, and I got rid of it. We had a mirror in our living room too, and I remember my mom put styrofoam reindeer on each side, and a big green thing with bulbs in the middle. I'm loving this vintage Monday thing too, so fun isn't it? Love your little Lefton girl too!

Hugs,
Debbie

I hit gold a few weeks ago in Snohomish Washington and I bought up about a dozen of those elves. Stuck them in my antique show case to sell a few and they were gone in a Santa's wink. Glad I held on to a few! Your blog makes me so happy. Your the best in my book! Happy Christmas time!-Jacqueline

I just received my first kneehugger from my friend at Chickens In The Basement and he's tucked in the branches of my Xmas tree. All your stuff is, as usual, festive and fun!!! I was going to add my post to the Vintage Christmas Monday blog but there are so many blogs to visit that I'd be here all day reading them (and hubs thinks I'm at the computer too much as it is--but maybe I'll sneak some peeks throughout the day, ha ha).

Hi Carol
Happy Vintage Monday! I love all your vintage Christmas stuff. It really takes me back to my childhood. I do feel sorry for those poor little elves trapped in that jar for the whole of Christmas. The one with his nose up against the glass looks furious!
Have a good week.

Love that garland Carol! You are too sweet to take the time to comment on my Pearl Harbor post honey. Thanks so much for sharing your memories of it. I have been there a few times and I don't think you can explain to someone in words how it makes one feel to be there and experience it. I'm so glad you liked the post. I hope you had a great weekend friend. Kori xoxo

Not sure what my favorite thing is: the elves trapped in a jar, the FABULOUS plastic garland or the phrase "I actually remembered where I put it"! I would love to send you a bag o' bling so you can do a tree! Email me your address and if you have a particular color theme in mind, let me know and I'll send you shiny junk by Christmas!
xoxo
