Vintage Christmas Monday!
Time again to share our vintage Christmas things over at Anything Goes Here, where Joan hosts this great party! There will be only one more after this one, unless Joan decides to extend it, so join in today!
This is a Relpo flocked Christmas girl. I'm not at all sure that's the original umbrella she is holding in her hand, but will you look at that fabulous, huge bag in her other hand?! I would definitely carry a bag like that!
This is an old candelabra, which I've been hoping to find for a while, and finally did! It seems that if you wait long enough, stuff like this will eventually come around. I know that it might look like ones that can be bought in the dollar stores, but it's not.
I love the detail on the base. Now all I need to do is find some old bulbs like these, in different colors. I would love to find some in pink!
And finally we have some old ornaments that my sister made, waaaayyyy back in the 70s. She gave them to my daughter Liz when she was little, because she loved The Wizard Of Oz, and would watch it over and over. We have the scarecrow,
and the cowardly lion,
and the tin man. Well, that's all for me. Now please head over to Joan's to see a list of all the other participants and their vintage Christmas things!

Hello Carol. Thanks for letting me know your post was up. It makes it easier for me to come and hop over! Love the purse that your girl has. I would carry that too. LOVE the ornaments that your sister made.
I just got home from doing the flea market so I am starting to make my rounds! xo Joan, your hostess
I love the turquoise and white bulbs. They look so cute!
Your sister's ornaments are sweet. Who doesn't love the Wizard of Oz! I remember as a kid it would come on once a year (loooong before VCR's, etc.) and I would get so excited to watch it on TV.
Love the ornaments. Have a good week...julie
Love all your vintage Christmas. The little Christmas girl figurine looks like the one on the header! I read your last post on your daughter's B'Day, she's a real beauty!
Blessings,
Debra
Your vintage Christmas items are so sweet. I have several vintage things from my childhood in the 60's and 70's and they are some of my very favorite things.
Debbie
Carol,
Love your vintage goodies. I remember we used to have the candle
holders like the one you have when I was growing up. They would be pulled out every year and used over and over. Great ornaments that your sister made, lots of wonderful memories, I bet. Thanks for sharing.
Sandy

Oh, the happy long-ago days of sewing sequins onto felt and feeling like a truly elegant creation was taking place!!! Those are some mighty cute ornaments your sister sewed!
It's all lovely!
The Wizard of Oz ornaments are cute, especially the lion.
Wow, it is a small world. I scouted Flickr last night for vintage Christmas photos, can you believe I found yours out of all those pictures.
Love your post for today - the Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies of all time and those ornaments are so very special.
Cheers to you
Jo

Hi Carol, yes, that purse is fabulous. I'll keep my eyes open for pink bulbs!
I love the Wizard of Oz ornaments. A lot of work went in to them. Personally, I'm still wigged out by the flying monkeys. We always had to change channels till they went away!
Hugs,
Dawn
Carol,
I love the bulbs you have in your candleabra, I think the white and blue are so pretty together, I am going to try that in mine. I have some brand new ones that have quite a bit of detail on the bases, but not as cool as your vintage one. I just love these....they brong back a lot of good memories!
Hi Carol!
Love these, and your candelabra looks like the ones my Grandmother had. Lovely!!!

Hi Carol,

Your little Wizard Of Oz ornaments are just adorable!!!

Such cue things on all your Vintage Mondays. Love your blog! Thanks for stopping by mine!
Lovin' those wizard of Oz ornies ... brings back memories of my 'older' kids watching that movie over and over ... how sentimental they must be to you!
xo
Jill
p.s. your daughter is a knock out!
I really think those Wizard of Oz ornaments are precious. My daughters, who are 20 and 21 watched that movie CONSTANTLY when they were toddlers. I memorized each song from that movie while the kids watched it. It's such a classic, well-loved film that never goes out of style.

What neat vintage ornaments! Next time we go to Galena, I will let you know! Hubby and I usually get there at least 3 times a year, we just love it! Hugs, Cindy
Hi Carol,
Happy birthday to your beautiful daughter. Love your wizard of Oz ornaments. How cute! I will keep my eyes open for some bulbs for your candelabra. ;)
Debbie
Somewhere over the rainbow is a vintage christmas ornament show. I love them! I sometimes wonder in another 40 years what will be vintage that we own now? Will it be my camera, my cookbooks, my husbands Star Trek ornaments or my wooden candlesticks? Time marches on, and something is always classified vintage. Who ever thought pyrex, poodle skirts, Scotty Dogs and restaurant ware would be vintage? Thoughts traveling everywhere tonight..better go night night...move over doggies!
I love everything you've posted here! And I don't think your candelabra looks Dollar Store-y at all! Those Wizard of Oz ornies are too sweet!

Carol,
I didnt't make the frame, Kohl's did....got it for 3.50! Long story but in my favor! But I am sure it wouldn't be hard to make.....it is plastic balls so they won't break...and they are glued on, but the material they glued it on to was soft and the balls made indents, then the material hardened....maybe clay would work???? I just love the frame! My fav this year in Christmas stuff! Thanks for asking!
Oh that little flocked Christmas girl is adorable! If that holly umbrella didn't come with her, it should have! Love those candle holder lights. Such great memories of seeing those in windows of houses during the holidays, and your sister did a excellent job with those ornaments. They are so pretty. laurie
WOW!!! These vintage trims are fabulous! Wizard of Oz and all! Christmas treasures from the past! Awesome!!! Have a great day, Carol! Hugs, Coralie
