Several Glue Gun Burns Later....

I made a few more Easter decorations while burning myself multiple times! Crafting is supposed to be soothing, but it can be oh so painful sometimes too!
A few party cups made from peat pots, with two of Laurie's party birds joining in.

This is a monster-sized paper mache egg that I cut in half. I mean Mr. Old Glory cut in half. I hate using those box cutters, so he kindly did it for me! I hope you can tell that the little tree is pink. I bleached some of those little green trees, then I dyed them pink.

And this last project is my rendition of Elizabeth's little bobblehead chick. I've got the box made for another one, but this little gal exhausted me! She's a little top heavy, so the next one's hat won't be as big I think. So, were you crafty this weekend?

I just love them. You must really have a lot of patience for such detail.

Good morning. I am inspired by your handiwork. I really should be getting out my craft supplies, but then I would have to clear off the table, than that means I would have to clean the dishes......oh well. I think it will be easier to simply look at everyone elses crafts. Thanks for letting me use the thrift store picture. It looks right at home on my blog. Please come check it out.

Carol,
Love you Easter crafts! Forgot to mention that I love your Sears house. My uncle was with Sears his whole life, ending his career over 5 states of Sears stores, so this touched my heart :)

Cute little cups, Carol! I haven't made anything for Easter yet! I've never been burned by my glue gun either. What's wrong with me? ☺

These are so VERY sweet. I saw Elizabeth's little birdie and thought it was so cute and yours is just as cute! You are inspiring me.

I like your new header too! Did you do the sides too?

Carol...the crafts turned out wonderful. I saw Martha Stewart once, and she said always have a cup of ice water nearby for glue gun burns. Well, I burn myself every time, and never have ice water close. Oh well. I love the bobble head birdie. I was wondering what size top ball you used? I am going to make some this week. Thanks for stopping by my blog....I cant wait to see your older posts.

Carol, Your blog is the most fun! Your banner begins the visit with a smile. All your side bar photos make me wish we lived in the past. Your creations make me want to struggle with my own glue gun yet again! Your check box is over the top cute! If they weren't such a "pain" to make, it would be fun to make lots. I'm a One Hit Wonder kind of crafter. Make it once and move on! Have a great week ahead! Elizabeth

Hope those glue guns burns weren't too bad...a word of advice - if you are wearing shorts and using a glue gun, put a towel over your lap. Hot glue on the bare skin of inner thighs is nasty! Happy Crafting - I did my fair share this weekend too.

Very cute, Carol!

This reminds me of my glue gun mystery.

I had TWO glue guns, the mini variety. I had them in a clear zippored case with extra glue sticks. I had them in that for YEARS.

A couple of weeks ago I tried to find them to USE them - - - - and they are NOT where I've kept them for like ever. Hmmmmmmmmmm

What in the WORLD happened to them?

I believe it's a case of the great glue gun napper attacking my home!

Again, putting me to shame with your output. I love that last half-egg chick. I do not own a glue gun. Unbelievable, right? (And I once owned a red shelf like in your Rednesday post but I sold it. Sigh. What was I thinking?)
