A Total Mish Mosh For Rednesday!

I usually try to have a theme for Rednesday, but today we're in the kitchen, we're in the dining room and we're outside to see my reds. And for those of you that have said that they can't believe that I have more reds every week, no one is more surprised than me! Just a few short years ago, I didn't care much for the color red. But then I decided to decorate my kitchen with things from the 30s-50s, and that's when the red thing happened for me!

This rooster hung in my Grandparents' kitchen for as long as I can remember, and when they passed away I was so happy to be able to have it.

My friend Jacqueline sent me this teeny tiny hand-painted chair, for no reason! Check out those cherries, Sue!

Jacqueline also sent me that little red pixie, to go with my collection. He looks like the naughtiest one of the bunch!

And finally, we have an old ice cream maker. This thing has been every color of the rainbow, but it started out black. Once the chance of frost is past, around May 15th, it will have flowers spilling out of it. We're having a frost tonight, so I better go cover my pansies! Now, if you would like to see all kinds of red things, head over to It's A Very Cherry World, where Sue is our hostess every week!

It's funny because every week I check to see if you're the first poster - usually you are! Number 3 isn't so bad, though!

Cool ice cream maker - too bad it didn't still work. I've always loved your rooster. I have a spoon-less holder that's ceramic. Someday I'll find some matching spoons!

So sorry to hear about your Kitty. So sweet that she can rest in your garden. I know how hard it is to lose our little furry family. We've had the same experience and it hurts more than I thought it would. Mimi

Love your reds! We used to have an ice cream churn like that when I was young. I don't know what happened to it, probably trashed before we knew what we were doing!

Look at my little red chair sitting pretty at your house and the pixie...hi to all.
I used to have a red Coke kitchen mixed with Mary Engelbriet and it just popped daily with energy and fullfillment.
Thinking of you as I walk into this Wednesday in Washington. Going to Spokane for a few days next week!
I'll be announcing my May give away soon...I can hardly wait...anticipation of being a really Groovy Girl in May!

We had frost in some spots last night...yikes....it went down to 32!! My Grandma said she remembered when she was little it snowed in May...heaven forbid. Love your 'Red' hot examples.
That Knott's apron was still in a bag! I couldn't wait to get it on my Etsy site.
And, I'm sorry about Mimi. I know exactly how you feel. I've had dogs all my life and when you lose your pet it leaves a little spot in your heart that only they fill.
By the by, we now have 6 kittens....10 mos. old...that the dog has grown attatched to since last June. We call em his KittenCaboodle. All 7 are my little angels God has given us...not cause they're good,LOL...sometimes they do get possessed... but they redmind us of unconditional love and trust.

Hi Carol, thank you for your kind words. You have some great reds to share this week. Your grandparents rooster is wonderful - I see he holds measuring spoons. What a helpful guy. I looove the bluebird next to your adorable black and red teeny chair. Neat old ice cream maker and I love it's cast iron stand. Bet it looks fab with flowers in it. Bless your dear kitty who has passed. Happy REDnesday~

Hi Carol,
Oh no! I'm so very sorry and saddened to hear of your beloved Mimi's passing! Sending you lots and lots of hugs. Our furry members are our dearest and bestest friends - they ask so little of us and give us so very much in return.
Thank you so very much for your very sweet comments about my Rednesday post, I so appreciate it!
I love your measuring spoon rooster, I've never seen anything like it. So much fun! And I love miniatures - your little painted chair is so precious.

Wow, that chair is TINY! It would take some patience to paint those little cherries. The rooster measureing spoon holder is wonderful, especially since it's from your grandparents. You know I'm a sucker for those family ties.
