More Flea Market Finds For REDnesday

I'm linking to REDnesday over at It's A Very Cherry World, so please stop by and say HI to Sue, our hostess every week!

Today for REDnesday, I'd like to share more of my flea market finds. This quilt isn't old, so it's perfect sitting out on the porch swing. Note to squirrels: Touch it at your own risk! I'm contemplating painting the swing. Chippy, crackly white. Anyone want to talk me into it or out of it?!

I took a pass on this breadbox when I first saw it. The lady selling it said if it was still there when I was done walking the flea market, she would be willing to come down in price. Of course it was all I could think about as I continued to shop. Would it still be there? I certainly didn't need another breadbox in the kitchen. But I did need one on the porch! Needless to say, it was still there, and it was only $3.00.

The little flour sifter with the red tulips on it was only 50 cents.

As soon as I saw this flag at Michaels about two months ago, I've been so anxious to put it in the garden. I love the saying, and I love Mary Engelbreit! So......do you have any red things you'd like to share? I'd love to see them, so link up with Sue!

Carol,
I love that quilt and almost died when I saw the bread box-so cute. I wanted you to know I passed on the Trendy Blogger Award to you. I received it from Sally Annie Magundy, but don't know how to do the link. Anyway, love you blog!

I think every porch needs a bread box and this one looks adorable where you have placed it. The little sifter is also adorable.

Cute reds! Go ahead, be brave and paint the porch swing. If you paint it a chippy white, it will look really cute with some red and white pillows and there is another Rednesday post!!

Love,

Hi Carol :) I love your breadbox and your old sifter. My gma had one with cherries on it that I wanted but didn't ask in time. The quilt is lovely. I say "go for it!" on painting the swing chippy white. Happy Reds~

Hi Carol,
I can see why you went back for it, I adore your breadbox, so darling! Oh to have a porch swing with a quilt - I'm pea green with envy!

Happy Rednesday,

Love your reds! You've got the perfect sittin place! The swing would look great white! Mine is cedar so I just seal it so the grain shows up. The house looks like a log cabin so it matches.

You were meant to have that breadbox Carol! My mother used to have a set of cannisters to match that.
Thanks for leaving such lovely comments on Caddie.

I have to ask...do you go to the flea market in Rockford? It's a great find for $3! It would look great with the two I got about a month ago! The plant stand is great, too!

Oh, paint the swing for sure!

That is such a nice quilt. It looks like it could be vintage, but you don't have to worry about it when it's not. :-) Great flag, and just wonderful for Memorial Day!

Beautiful red and white quilt...I'd leave it inside and put a ratty one out for the squirrels to play on! That vintage breadbox is so cute, they are so nice to have around to stash things in...I use mine for rolling pins, standing on end.
