MY WEEKEND FINDS

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of My Weekend Finds, the continuing saga of one girl's quest for more junk!
My friend Nancy and I had a garage sale over the weekend. As each customer told us about how many sales there were in the area that day, all I could think was "I Wish I Was Garage Saling!!!". It was sheer torture knowing there were sales going on without me!

I did get to go to the flea market on Sunday, but all I got were these little tin plates. Cute, aren't they?

I bought this cat from Nancy at our sale. As hard as I try, I never seem to be able to have a garage sale without buying something!

This old light-up pumpkin came from a thrift store. It's always a thrill to find something vintage in amongst a ton of new stuff.

Ok, I confess, I did sneak in a sale or two......while I was out taking down the signs from our sale! I found a few additions for the Easter collection.

And a red, white & blue snowman. So that's it. That's all of my finds. At least I found some holiday stuff, which is my favorite thing, but I hate it when having a garage sale interferes with my garage saling! So, did YOU get to go garage saling over the weekend?

Those plates are so cute! Will you display them in your kitchen?

No garage sailing for me! :(

The tiny tin picnic buckets are just perfect. I can see you adding them to your collection and decorating the shelves just so. All together I can't complain about all your great stuff. Looks like you didn't miss out on anything good as it all came home with you...smiles...Renee

I understand the tortured feeling, but I think you did OK (and think of the money you made! and the space you have now! right?)

yep...I did drag my butt out the door to a garage sale but all I found was some red vintage felt ribbon and two little bottles of mercury glass glitter. It was literally in a garage because it was pouring down rain...

hubby went camping this weekend and I went crafting in my happy room. Making greeting cards and Wiz of Oz matchboxes for a blogger who ordered some from me...thrilled!

put on a baby shower and next plans begin for my daughters wedding which was going to be next Aug, then next July and now in May! Yikes and yipppeee at the same time!

i wish upon a star, I could have been where you are...at YOUR garage sale!

happy week ahead~Jackie

I love the little tin plates! So cute!!!! And the little chicken, Oh dear it is beyond cute ( I'm crazy over chickens & roosters).

I understand about having a yardsale and thinking about missing out on all the treasures out there. Pass a hanky please LOL

Those are cute!!!
I survived not going to the flea market, so I guess we both know that the world won't come to an end if we aren't junkin'. But I sure don't want to chance that again, do you?

That is the hardest thing about having a garage sale - not being able to be out junking yourself. We have a neighborhood one with over 100 houses and I am always leaving my mom (who always helps me) for a second and scurrying up and down the street on the hunt. Nice to get rid of your own stuff tho!

No garage sales or thrifting for me. I love your finds and that cat decoration you bought is so cute. I always buy something when I have a yard sale from others that are selling!
hugs,
Linda

Oh Carol,
Love your finds! The tin dishes are so sweet. I love vintage seasonal decor also. We do not find things like that at yard sales here in Utah. Can't wait to see your cat in your Halloween decor. You have such a knack. I love that look, but most of mine are reproductions.

I just linked over to you from Holly at Cutie Pie Cottage. Your blog is so cute. We must be neighbors, I live in Wisconsin very near the border! Please come visit me at my new blog if you get a chance, Ric Rac and Polka Dots. I'm brand new but have lots of fun things planned to share. Hope to see you there!
