MY WEEKEND FINDS
Thanks for tuning in to another episode of My Weekend Finds, the continuing saga of one girl's quest for more junk!
I usually post my finds early in the morning, but Mr. Old Glory is sick and so is our college girl, so everything is bajiggety over here!
I was surprised that there were so many garage sales this past weekend. I'm really not looking forward to the end of garage sale season. Because that means that I have to turn to Ebay and antique stores to find my treasures, but I won't start that whole tirade right now! I found lots of holiday cheer at the sales, including that HUGE Gurley snowman.
I got two big turkeys.........
and some smaller ones too.
An old Made In Japan St. Patty's planter.......
and a drum for the patriotic decorations.
I've always wanted one of these Shawnee cats, and this one surprisingly came from our Goodwill. I rarely ever find anything good there, but I do try to stop in around the holidays, especially Christmas. It seems like the second week in December, people are decorating and going through their stuff and donating alot of it, and that's when I find vintage Christmas things there. Is your Goodwill any good?
And last, a couple of lantern picks and the saddest little tree I've ever seen. Truly, the Charlie Brown tree of it's time!
Last week I was trying to decorate for Halloween, but I'm missing a box! Where did I put it??? I've been trying to figure out what I may have been thinking when I put the box away, and honestly I have no clue. I can't decorate the bookcase without it! Have you ever packed anything away so good that you can't find it?

You found some really wonderful stuff this weekend!! I love that Shawnee cat! Once in awhile I find a deal at my GW but not usually. Oh and I have lost boxes so I've been trying to mark them and organize them! hugs, Linda
Love your found treasures. Especially the angel. She is so cute. I also dread seeing garage sales thin out. What will we do with our time LOL
I can't believe you find such great vintage stuff at the garage sales. I have very little luck around here and have to rely on the thrift stores. Hope your family feels better soon!
love the turkeys... so many fun finds!
hope your husband and daughter are feeling better soon.

I am a fan of the Charlie Brown tree...I have a collection of those and that one needs a little TLC...I think you can add those leaves back on and gussy it up good as new.
Score! I love that little angel. I got two similar this weekend. I am so sorry yard sale season is ending, but that will give me time to save up some spare money this winter and be ready for spring!
Blessings
Linda
Oh my goodness. You really did find some lovely things. Your charlie brown tree is just too sweet. Hope you find that box of Halloween that stashed away for safe keeping!
Hoping everyone is better soon! I put things away so well I may never find them.... Love your finds and our goodwill stores think they are antique stores. I Still go and sometimes find something they have missed and priced low.
Annette
I hope that you find your box before Halloween.
I really like your drum. I can't wait to see how you use it next year.
Oh if you find you box it is probably with my missing box. Isn't that the truth that there is always something missing and no matter where you look it has melted into the wall and vanished. Great finds this weekend...smiles...Renee
Oh my, I love your new finds! I too am missing some Halloween decor. I am going back into the attic tomorrow to see if I can find them!!
I love the drum for your patriotic decorating!! I would have bought that on the spot if I had seen it!
Please stop by my blog and check out my Halloween decor!
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Lynn
Great finds! We seemed to have a lot of garage sales around our area this past weekend too...unfortunately I didn't get to shop :(
I am forgetting where I put things ALL the time! It drives me crazy!
Hope your family is feeling better.

Lots of great treasures! Love all the turkeys and the green-handled vase/urn. I am ALWAYS looking for a lost item or box, the madness never ends!
I love all the turkeys. You find the best goodies. No snow here so we have yardsales year round.
