MY WEEKEND FINDS

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of My Weekend Finds, the continuing saga of one girl's quest for more junk!~~~~~~~~Before I get started showing my finds, I'd like to acknowledge the fact that my email was hacked, so if you received a strange email from me, DO NOT click on any links that might be in there! Now, on to the junk!
I walked away from this pink picnic tin three times before I decided I would be a fool to leave the antique store without it. It immediately fit right in with the Easter decorations!
That crazy-eyed yellow bunny also came from the antique store. Since taking this shot, I've crammed two more vintage bunnies in that old cemetery basket!
That sugary Putz house and those bottle brush trees aren't vintage, but they sure are cute. I suppose the trees are meant to be for Christmas, but I'm using them in my Easter decorations instead.
I can't tell you how many times I've been outbid on one of these Official Girl Scout Cameras on Ebay. What I can tell you is that I was thrilled to find this one at an antique store. For a steal!
Vintage childrens' gardening tools. I already had the watering can, but don't they play well together?!? Again, these are items that I would get outbid on, on a regular basis. I was flabbergasted to find these at a good price at an antique store, because it's usually the other way around, and I get disgusted by the antique store prices and end up on Ebay. There's hope for the antique stores surviving after all!
Vintage decals, again from the antique store.
Although I still wish that someone had not painted that picnic tin (it secretly drives me nuts not knowing what's under that white paint), I'm pretty thrilled with how those tulips look on it!
Last but not least, a little girl's pink broom, to go with the green one I already had. Gosh, you would think that with two brooms, my house must be neat as a pin. Sadly, you would be wrong. These brooms are for showin', not sweepin'!~~~~~~~Well, the flea market season has officially started, but the weather has not cooperated. And it's only a matter of time before garage sale season begins. What's the junking situation like in your part of the world?

That crazy eyed bunny brings back memories!

Hurrah for the antique shops! I find good deals all the times but of course there's always that one stall where everything is high and nothing ever sells and you can't help but wonder about them!

Junking way more fun now that I live in town! I posted my latest GW find last night! ♥

Love your Easter treasures. I have a couple of vendors that take good care of me at my favorite antique stores. You always find the BEST goodies. Love your vignettes. I can't wait for winter to end so that we can start playing outside. Your porch is so darn inviting.

Easter hugs!

Love the tulip decals. Did find a small garage sale this past weekend and bought a few old books. Weather not cooperating here either! Oh well, it will sooner or later, right?

Can't wait to share.

Carol you have inspired me to check out the Antique Malls again. Love the GS camera and that adorable figurine! So many cute items I am so ready for a good junkin trip somewhere!

Oh Carol, you found such fun stuff. I find good deals once in a while at antique stores, but the best deals I've ever found were on Ebay. We just gotta' keep our eyes pealed. My worst fears are that I'm bidding against one of my good blog friends, especially my good friend Sandy. Her and I often find the same goodies on Ebay and we end up bidding against each other.......ha, ha......to the victor go the spoils! Yes, she usually wins!

Hugs,
Meri

Carol, I love all your finds! And from an antique store!! I love it when I go to an antique store and find a bargain. You really did well. I like that you are using the Putz and trees for Easter. Who says they have to be Christmas! The decals are adorable and look great on the picnic basket!

You sure found some nice things,...I love that camera...it sure is hard to come by. I can't wait to start going to flea markets and maybe a trip out of state to find some lost treasures...there isn't much going on here right now.

Carol, you found some great things. I love those decals! That is so cool that you found the camera!
I just love seeing all that you find. It brings back memories of things that I have totally forgotten about. In all the years that I have been going to flea markets and antique shops, I have never ran across a GS camera!! I forgot about those!

Stay warm!!

What great finds! You have more restraint than I do in regard to the painted over tin basket - I'd have been picking at a corner and scolding myself as soon as I got it in the door and probably mucked it up but good. The decal look great though - brilliant!

Tyya's dad won't secure anything sizeable at the crowd on up - no ice cream, no sweetmeats, no cookies. But when the saleslady puts a premium sticker on Tyya's nose, Daddy is at the model moment overdone to gather something goodness
