Vintage Thingies Thursday or What's So Special About Friday?

If you would like to see other bloggers' thingies, pop over to Coloradolady's blog. I got this cutting board at an antique store , and I think it's so cute, but I would like to know what is so special about Friday gardening?! I'm out there every day, pulling weeds, watering, praying, sweating, swearing, getting bit by mosquitoes. So I ask you, what is so special about Friday gardening??
Well, if this is what you see while gardening, on any given Friday, then I guess Friday Gardening is pretty special!

    Looks like all your hard work is paying off....your yard looks great. I love the cutting board. I remember my mom had one with a similar design....yours is really cute!!

    Nix the spider please. Love the dragonfly. And maybe Friday was Gardening Day you know like Monday was Wash Day, Tuesday was Ironing Day..........

    CAROL!! Back up the bloggy truck!!! I HAVE (or had, don't know where it is right now) that SAME red and white checked jar!!!!!!! I had a set of two - - - one that size and one a little smaller. They were wedding presents in 1975.

    I actually like your garden spider...they are all named Charlotte at our house ;)

    Your garden is really pretty and so is that cutting board...but the prettiest thing is your cat dressed up! What a hoot!!!

    Beautiful flower pictures. I love the one with the dragon fly.
    I'm not sure what the chopping board is all about but as Postcardy mentioned, maybe they had a board for each day of the week with some other chore on it! Whatever it means, it is a very nice board.

    Oh, how I love dragonflies. They are starting to hatch around here. Love to see all the different kinds of them.
    I agree with you about "Friday Gardening". I'm out there everyday. But..., back in the day they had "Monday Wash Day" and "Thursday Cleaning" so I guess things were more structured then.
