Pink In The Kitchen!!

It's time for Vintage Thingies Thursday, where Suzanne is our hostess at Coloradolady!

I thought I would share some of my pink things from the kitchen. Those of you that follow my blog may be surprised that I have any pink, because I love red so much. But if it's a vintage kitchen item, I don't care what color it is! This is my little pink Sunbeam mixer. I love it! If anything makes me feel like June Cleaver in the kitchen, this is it!

This is an old ice crusher that my sister gave me. I've never used it though. It just sits up on a shelf, looking all pink and cute!

An old plastic colander. Definitely too cute to use!

An old cookie or biscuit jar, of a little girl with a pink beret. She looks like a Campbells kid, doesn't she?

And finally we have some miscellaneous pieces of pink melamine dishes. I'm still on the lookout for some pink plates. Pink plates would make anything taste better, wouldn't they? I think so! Who knows, maybe I'll find some at the next garage sale. I do love the thrill of the hunt!
If you enjoyed seeing my vintage pink kitchen stuff, why not head over to Suzanne's, where you can see alot more vintage thingies!

  4. I love the goodies jar.

I just realized my mixer is vintage, but it is just plain white so it isn't as interesting as your pink one. I think my mother had a yellow one.

  24. I found myself in pink denial for a while because I used to think it was a bit too girly to have in the kitchen but now after some pink therapy at your blog I love it again and will probably be buying more pink stuff! I love the mixer.

  25. My grandma had a whole set of pink melmac in her pink kitchen with pink formica countertops. And a turquoise living room. And a pink and black bathroom. It was the perfect 50s bungalow ... hmm, wonder if that inspired me?

  31. OH MY GOSH - How TOTALLY cute!!!! I was just talking to my (non-blogging) mom about Vintage Thingies Thursday and how all those things that seemed old and junkie at one time are now treasures to me and why, oh why, did she let me say NO when she was getting rid of things?? Same reason my kids don't listen to me! ha ha Thanks for sharing your treasures ~ ♥
