Vintage Thingies Thursday!

It's VTT time! Please join me over at Coloradolady, where Suzanne hosts this great party, and you can visit lots of other blogs featuring great vintage things. Between VTT, Rednesday and Vintage Christmas Monday, I'm having a hard time stretching out the rest of my Christmas stuff between all of these great parties!

Here we have three little angels, all Made in Japan, that I picked up at one thrift shop. Each time I would go back, I would find one. I hoped it would keep going like that, but I only found these three!

This is an Ardco, Made In Japan snowman. I was really happy to find him, because I only have a couple snowmen, and none of them are old.

And finally, these packs of gum aren't vintage, but the brands are! There is an old-timey drugstore a few towns away from me, and I always try to remember to grab a couple packs of this gum. Do you remember these? Richard the Bewildered Brit recently did a post on old brands of gum, and I've wanted to chew some ever since! Blackjack was always my favorite! Unfortunately they were out of Teaberry and Beamans. I've since been told that I can get these old brands at Cracker Barrel too! Now please head over to Suzanne's!
Merry Christmas!!

  12. I loved the clove and blackjack gum. I also have a pink radio similar to yours and an angel like the one in the center. I got it when I was a child and at one time the wings broke off. I asked my mom to glue them back on, and she did, but she glued them on upside down. I was so upset. I think I was about 8 at the time. They're still that way, but now I have a story that goes along with the angel so I'm glad she made the mistake.

  26. Hi Carol...me again. If you ever want me to get you some cabinet cards just let me know. I have an antique mall near my home and one gentlemen has a booth with thousands of cards...prices range from 50 cents for a more ordinary card to a few dollars for cards that are a little nicer. The ones I used for my post today were 50 cents apiece....great for altering.

Black Jack Gum is one of the greatest things ever invented!

I'm so sorry you couldn't get Teaberry gum! I hope you at least did the Teaberry Shuffle!

Cracker Barrel is a great place to get vintage candy from. Also, they sometimes sell them in limited edition retro packaging too!

I remember the gum- I always thought it was "old lady gum" because my grandmother liked it~ haha

  40. Love that gum! My cousin works at Cracker Barrel and she said they mostly stock it in the summer. So check back in a few months if they're out of it now.

Remember the wax lips that stores sold around Halloween? When I chew Teaberry it reminds me of that flavor.
