Thursday Junk Report

It's Thursday, so that means my Mom, sister & I went out for breakfast, then went treasure hunting. We really enjoy our Thursdays. The day is set in stone as OUR day to hang out! My Mom is 84 years old, but boy does she still like to shop! We went to a resale shop, and I only found these two planters. The white one is USA pottery, and the rooster is an old unmarked piece that I have been eye-balling for 6 months. It was finally marked down to my price! I had to plant some violas in them right away.
My sister Mary gave me this old stove burner thingy, and the huge coffee can. We always pass along things that we don't want anymore to each other. I think I know what I want to do with these...

I'll put a plant in it, and set it on the front porch, when it's warm enough for houseplants to be outside. That probably won't be until the end of May! There are several garage sales this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed for good luck and good weather. Hope the sun shines for you in your part of the world!

I love your Thursday tradition. Good finds too! I have a rooster collection on display right now at home. I have a jar with some speckled eggs in it - they needed some height so I added unpopped popcorn kernels - looks really cute!

That coffee can will probably look pretty cool on the front porch, especially on the first landing! =]
