White Wednesday!

Well, after my unintended week long blog break, I'm ready to try a new party. White Wednesday! I have been a reader/lurker of Faded Charm for a while now, and always wanted to join in, so today's the day!
I bought this concrete statue last summer at an estate sale. Usually these sales are confined to the house and garage, but I've found that I'm usually the only one asking about things that might be outside, so I've walked away with alot of great things, for a song!

This bird cage and stand was only $2 at a sale. I was sure I had read the tag wrong, because I can't read anything without my glasses. But it was the right price, so I payed for it right away, ran it out to the car, and then continued to shop. Have you ever had something set aside at a sale, only to have it sold to someone else? It's happened too many times to me, so I don't take any chances anymore!

The window table is back out on the front porch. These are so easy to make! I wish our house was bigger, because I'd love to have one inside too. It's holding one of my favorite things, a wire watering can that my daughter gave me a few Mother's Days ago.

And finally, a stool that my sister mosaiced with an old Blue Willow plate. Another one of my favorite things! Along with an old cement rooster. If only those guys were cheaper, I'd have a whole herd of them. Or flock. I'd have alot of them! If you would like to see lots more white things, head over to Faded Charm. Thank you Kathleen for hosting this fun party!

I am picturing you running down the driveway with your fab birdcage! I always set stuff by the person in charge but I can't help but keep checking on it to make sure it's all still there! The window table is a great repurpose, it's so pretty! Theresa

Between me and you we seem to be able to keep happy! Come on over to the Cupcake Walk Carol and come and be happy with me.

Life was full of rotten eggs last week but I'm determined to recover and move on. The best way I know how is to come and visit you.

I have a soft spot for the white faded look also. I've been there and done that and now I seem to need color all around me...I always say, my home changes as my life changes. Good therapy is thrifting and then coming home to find a place for the goodie. At times, my whole home has turned around because of one sparkly thrift item.

My favorite is the stool your sister made and the bird cage...Love it...lets put bluebirds in it and give them yellow bonnets to wear...

Loving life with you...
Jacqueline

Welcome to White Wednesday, it is my favorite day of the week for sure. I love all your pieces, especially that window table. I may have to make one of those.

As for having an item sold out from under you, oh yeah that has happened, only once, I carry everything now. When they nicely ask if they can put in front, I grab it even harder and politely say NO. Have a great day thanks for the story.
