Au Revoir,Auf Wiedersehen,Arrivederci!

My bags are packed.......

I'm taking a little road trip......

To the Northwoods of Wisconsin........

I'll be doing a lot of fishing........

A little tanning, in moderation of course......

The trip wouldn't be complete without a stop at Barb's Cafe, for the oh-so-delicious potato pancakes on Fish Fry Friday........

I'm sure we'll have a campfire.........

But we'll be careful, because I wouldn't want to make Smokey the Bear angry....

And speaking of bears, I always hope we'll see some, although it's pretty rare..........

I'll do some reading down on the dock.........

I plan to do lots of this...........

And this. I'm very nervous though. I'll have a few house guests staying in our home while I'm gone.......

So I hope I don't come home to this..........
I won't have any internet access, so I'll miss you all, and I'll catch up with everyone later!

Hi Carol Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful post. As always I love to come over and see what you are up to.

Camping in Wisconsin? What fun. Nothing like a wonderful night out in nature with a campfire, stories to share and how about some smore's? Ooh did I ever love those. They were a treat for us when we were kids.

I can't wait to see pics of your trip, stories about the surrounding and ofcourse all the goodies that you find in the Antique stores. Yeaaaaa!

Have fun, be safe and see you soon.

Country hugs and much love, Sherry

I'm with the other two comments that mentioned the Elf book photo. No way was that on the book! She had to be photoshopped in somewhere along the line from a Harlequin novel!!

Oh Carol how fun! I've only been to Wisconsin once but I loved it. My husband's family is from there. We were in Green Lake, if I recall correctly, not too far from Racine.... It was so beautiful and green and the gardens were to die for. Here in California it is brown, brown, brown, brown. Wisconsin is green, green, green! I hope you have a marvelous time and we'll miss you and I can't wait to see what you've found when you get back and to hear your tales.

Oooh, have fun on your trip! I'm checking in from a blog break to see what's been going on in my absence, and I will probably get back to blogging about the same time you do.

Do you know, Carol, that I am in lust with that cute metal picnic basket in your header??? I am! It always makes me smile.

Have fun on your trip and find lots of shiny objects!

XO,

Sheila :-)
