MY WEEKEND FINDS

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of My Weekend Finds! I tell you, it just never gets old. You know, that feeling of euphoria, when you haven't been to an estate sale in months, and you're digging through dirty dusty boxes, and you think to yourself: It just doesn't get any better than this!

There was vintage Halloween stuff.

And vintage Christmas stuff.

Gurley Candles Galore!

At this point, I was going bonkers!

Look at these beautiful candle holders!

With little wreaths that go at the top of the candles. The one holder is a little broken up, and needs something stuffed in there to hold up the candle, but I don't care!

A poodle with freakish pink rhinestone eyes.

You might think it strange, but this Old Maid game was my most exciting find at the sale. I remember playing this game alot with my niece and nephew.

The graphics are SO cute!

I think my favorite is Scary Harry. I could have bought tons more stuff, but alot of it was outrageously priced. The sale ran for three days, and they're having it again next weekend. I've got my fingers crossed that they'll finally mark everything 50% off!

Me. Still celebrating!

Good Morning Carol Sweetie...
Oh I love all the goodies that you found, but truly my favorite was the Old Maid cards. Oh my gosh are they ever priceless. I would have grabbed those up too. Scary Harry is the cutest darn face. I don't remember him.

Was one of my favorite child hood games. They kids today just would not be impressed would they?

Well sweet friend, I can't wait for you to go back a second time. Maybe they will be 50% off. A gal can dream right?

Have a gorgeous day sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

What a fun post!! I cannot wait for the start of the flea market season over here, too bad we don't have these estate sales. I have zoomed in on your old maid cards, they are indeed sooo cute! I don't think we have that game over here, but I love old playing cards like this an awful lot! That was a great start of the week!

Oh Carol, those are so cute! You did good. No you did GREAT!! I love the graphics on the cards, too.

I didn't get out to find anything this weekend. There was a huge antique auction, but I thought it was best to stay away. The prices would of went way too high for me anyway. My husband took the day off and since I have to head to the city, I think I will stop at a few "A" malls! I am hoping he will join me.

Enjoy your new finds. Just think how sweet they will look with all of your other Holiday goodies.

Thank you for rescuing George and Donald's Christmas stockings. Isn't it sad that no one in the family wanted them? The candles are great and in good shape too. My absolute favorite is the set of candle holders.

What wonderful treasures! My favorite is that cute poodle with the pink eyes.

I haven't been to an estate sale in several years because I buy things that I don't have room for. But you have sure got me wanting to start looking for them again. Thanks for sharing the photos of your wonderful finds!

What a fun post, Carol!! We love the same kind of "junk" and I get that same "pinch me" feeling when I'm digging and poking and finding sweet goodies from days long past. I love the little angel candle holders ... so CUTE! And the graphics on the Old Maid cards are super. Love your blog - I'm your newest follower and I can't wait to see what you find next.
Best to you,
