Things are really popping in the gardens this week. Let's take a look! |
There's tons of Columbine blooming throughout the gardens right now. |
They're so shy though. I wish they didn't have such droopy heads, because they're even prettier on the inside. |
Sweet Williams. They're always marked as annuals, but I'm here to tell you that these come back for me every year. They usually come in a 4 or 6 pack, so that's really cheap, per plant! |
A blue Hydrangea. I have a friend who is a floral designer, and when the shop doesn't sell these right away, she brings them home. For FREE. For ME! |
I thought I had gotten rid of the Lily Of The Valley last year, when in fact I really just angered it. |
It may be invasive, but the flowers sure are pretty, and smell heavenly and I forgive them all over again for taking over the garden! |

Your Columbine are so beautiful. I need to go wandering in our yard. Lily of the valley are always one of my favorites. I'm glad you forgave them (smile). Have fun playing in your lovely yard.
My Columbine seem to like to take over too, but I don't mind they are beautiful. Yours are so pretty and I love the hanging birdcage.

I am off to the nursery this weekend to pick up some veggies and herbs. My mom always had columbine. I loved how heavy their heads were on such a delicate plant....enjoy your weekend...smiles...Renee
Your garden is looking so pretty. I think the Lily of the Valley are so charming and I love the scent. I planted some that I bought at Walmart. They looked like a bunch of roots. They haven't come up. It may be because we haven't had a lot of rain and I forget to water them.
What a nice friend to share the hydrangeas with you.
Love the white bird cage and I look forward to seeing what you are up to now.
Columbine is one of my favorites. I am amazed at how much is in bloom for you. We still have tulips that are trying to open up.
Can't wait to see your finished project. :>)

Hi, Carol,
Your dream home sounds wonderful, especially the four season porch.
And your flowers are beautiful. I'm hoping to learn more about growing them.
