Halloween/Fall Decorations

I just realized that if you were to look at my last few posts, you would probably be thinking: Geez, all that girl does is go junking. Not true! I've just been busy enjoying this beautiful Fall we're having. After that awful summer, I can't get enough of being outside and enjoying nature. I even made Mr. Old Glory go to The Monarch Buttery Festival, where we could enjoy even more nature. The butterfly tent was full of beautiful monarchs and gorgeous flowers.
This Tarantula was there too. Which is the perfect segue to my Halloween decorations!
This is our back porch. A Flickr friend was surprised that I decorated our back porch too, and so I explained that we use the back door all the time, not the front. So the front porch is decorated for the rest of the world, and the back is for us.
Little flags made out of vinyl tablecloths, and sparkly purple hats for the cats.
I'm batty over how that polka dot bunting turned out!
A vintage plantstand holds sparkly light-up pumpkins.
A nice, cozy spot to sit and watch the leaves fall.
Mums in the vintage cooler!
I handpainted these pillows several years ago. I hope the squirrels leave them alone!
Pumpkin lights by the garage windowbox. I'm just getting started decorating, but hopefully I can  share the front porch next week. It's so easy to take pictures of the back, but I feel a little odd taking pictures of the front. Like maybe the neighbors will think that I think that we're special or something. So I'll probably get out there early in the morning, before anyone is around. Or make Mr. Old Glory do it!

I love it all and am definitely inspired to try the bunting idea. We are starting on our outdoor decorations today. Hopefully our dogs leave our stuff alone!

Looks terrific.
I want to see the front porch, too!
I take pictures of the front of the house. It makes me feel a little funny, but the older I get, the less I care!

Boy, good thing you posted, because I was just thinking, "That Carol! All she does is go to the flea market!" It's a beautiful day here, too ... hard to get done what I ought to be doing! Love that bunting, by the way.

Hi Carol,

Everything looks so festive on your back porch. We have a side entrance that we use also, instead of the front door. I have started decorating too. I love fall!

Hugs,
Debbie

Your back porch looks great! I think it is fun to decorate out back, too! And like you said it is your personal entry way, so it should get it's own touch. The pillows are so neat! I hope the squirrels leave them alone, too!
Blessings,
Susie

I always love everything you do and in this post of course I LOVE EVERYTHING but my favoritest thing--the rooster in your window box. I am so stealing that idea :) You have such a great imagination! Maggie/Maggie's Lil' Fixins

Is that tarantula real? With all its hairs, it sure looks like the real thing!

Another thing I loved would be the porch with all of those great complementary Halloween colors!
