Tutti Frutti

If it wasn't for blogging, nothing would get dusted! You know what I'm talking about. You can't take a picture of anything without dusting it first! Anyway, I collect chalkware fruit. And that has snowballed into lots of other fruit in the kitchen. Also, I am participating in Vintage Thingies Thursdays at ColoradoLady's, so check out other bloggers' vintage thingies!

Strawberry valances...

I would've loved to show you the whole window, but that would've led to washing that window, which would've meant crawling into the kitchen sink to reach the window. There are some things that I won't do to get a picture, and that is one of them!

A breadbox with fruit decals.

I am "lucky" enough to have a small washer and dryer in the kitchen. I have hidden the ugly laundry detergent with that little fruity valance. I have also snuck some real fruit into the shot!
The top of the fridge. Way too much stuff, but then I love way too much stuff! So now you have seen the cleanest parts of the kitchen. I think Mr. Old Glory wishes I would take pictures of the house every day, that way it would get clean!

    Carol, I just love your kitchen! I recognize that knife block because my mom and I sold that same one one ebay awhile back...I wonder if it is the same one? That would be entirely too funny! I just sent you an e-mail--hope to hear from you soon!

    Very cute kitchen! I don't have a vintage blog because it would require me to clean. ;-) I just enjoy everyone else's cleaning streaks--er, blogs.

    I have been trying to find something to put my soap/scrungies into. I saw yours all nestled together neatly, but I can't make out what it sits in. Whatever it is, I *really* like the look of that.

    I have followed your blog since you started it. I love the vintage/cottage blogs. At the end of the day I go to bloglines and get my dose of "pretty." That's how I think of it in my mind.

    I've been known to photograph dust, as Charlie Brown's friend Pig Pen said, it may be the dust from some ancient civilization!

    Ooh, Carol, we have alot in common! Like that tulip knife holder, red stuff, fruit valances - mine are cherries,old glasses, watering cans, etc., etc.!

    Heh. The camera shows every look speck, doesn't it? I'm glad it's not just me, I thought my vision was going bad, beings that you only see the dust in pictures.

    Your kitchen looks adorable. Some people know just how to pull everything together and obviously, you're one. It's cute as a button!
