More Treasures From The Attic-VTT

Today for VTT I am sharing more things that I found in my attic last week.

More things that I forgot I have, I should say! I remember this little pink girl and her doggie. Vaguely. She now resides on a shelf in the bathroom.

But this poodle lamp? This is freaking me out, because I have no idea whatsoever where this came from! None. But I think with a little frou-frou lampshade, she'll be darling! My daughter loves all things French, but I don't think she'll like this. All I know is that I have to find somewhere to put it!

And finally we have a little chalet barometer! I've had this since I was a little girl, and it always sat on my window sill. I'm so happy that I "rediscovered" all of these things in my attic, even though some of them I don't remember! Now, to see more vintage things, head over to Coloradolady, where Suzanne is our kind hostess every week!

  3. Oh dear Carol - you don't even have to leave your house to go shopping!

I think you can foof that lamp so that your daughter likes it. Maybe paint over the eyes so that the eyelashes are batting or winking. Plus a pretty shade with bling or fleur de lis or french words.

  14. How exciting to be able to just go into your attic and find all this stuff. I was hoping, when I moved into my cottage, that there might be some treasures in the attic left by the previous owners but there was not a sausage!
    You have some lovely things.

I want you to use like some pom-pom fringe or that seer-sucker fabric that is back out this almost spring. Can't wait to see it again with it's shade.

  23. You must have the biggest attic in the world! I have inadvertently started a poodle collection, mostly spaghetti poodles (you get them cheaper if their tails have broken off, heh heh)--still looking for the perfect, with tail, pink spaghetti poodle that doesn't cost too much. So of course that lamp caused me no end of envy!

  26. Hi Carol!

I love the little poodle lamp base! My grandma had two large poodle lamps that had touches of black on them and a chain leash attached to their collar. I had toally forgotten about them until I read this post! thanks for the wonderful memeory! Oh, and that shade definately needs a little "Oh lala" to it! for some reason I instantly saw a black and whie polka dot with some feathery boa trim. LOL
