Thanks for tuning in to another episode of My Weekend Finds, the continuing saga of one girl's quest for more junk!
Over the weekend we went to The Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana. It's an annual event for us, and there are always tons of garage sales along the way. We try to stop at as many as we can, but I really only needed to stop at one, because all of my finds came from just one sale!
This picnic basket is in rough shape, but it's perfect for the back porch.
The vintage clock was only $1, probably because it doesn't work, but I'll pull all of the workings out and make it battery-operated. Love that aqua color!
I couldn't resist that little shoe house planter, or the little red sewing machine.
I also found that sparkly little number there on the right. It goes so well with the other clocks in my collection!
This sweet watering can is a recent Ebay win, not a garage sale find. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I kinda can't wait to pack up the Halloween decorations on top of the green cabinet, so that I can put the watering cans back up!
And I just wanted to share a couple of shots of the bridges we saw, and of our daughter Liz and her boyfriend Brandon, who made the trip with us.
They're so photogenic! So, did you find any treasures over the weekend, or perhaps take a road trip?
Neat finds! The contractor's (that is doing our addition) Dad is over there with his wares. His booth is called Green, Green Crafts of Home. He is the owner of the contractor business and does this, as well.

ReplyDeleteI used to go to the Covered Bridge Festival when I was a kid and lived in Indiana. It was alot of fun, although we didn't stop at yard sales. That would have been even more fun! This is the time of year when I really start missing Indiana. There is nothing like an Indiana fall!

ReplyDeleteI'm loving that aqua clock. My girls have a treehouse with an aqua theme. I'm thinking that clock would be a nice addition. Love the idea of taking out the inners and using it with a battery.

ReplyDeleteNo road trips for me but I found a like new, medium sized braided rug for $10.00 here locally! Have you priced new braided rugs lately? Ugh! So, I knoe I got a good deal- especially since it came from the antique mall. ♥

ReplyDeleteOh I so love checking in with you late Sunday night or Monday. I am always excited by your vintage finds. We did a little adventure ourselves this weekend. We went to the 1800's village called Hart's Square on Saturday. It is on 200 acres in Catawba County. Dr. Hart and his wife having lovingly moved and restored over 85 structures, hay barns, cabins, and houses to create this darling village. Google Hart's Square Catawba County North Carolina. The tickets go on sale the first business day in October. I was on the phone for 45 minutes solid trying to purchase our tickets better than last year almost 2 1/2 hours on the phone trying to buy the tickets. It is held the fourth Saturday in October. This year we did come home with 2lbs bags of corn meal produced the grist mill on the property!
