MY WEEKEND FINDS

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of My Weekend Finds, the continuing saga of one girl's quest for more junk!
I went to lots of yard sales, but it was the estate sales where I really found alot of loot! And there were additions to lots of my collecting categories too.

The VINTAGE CHRISTMAS category saw alot of additions. None of this was priced, so I was pretty nervous when I brought it all up to the table to pay. The cashier asked if $6 was ok. That could possibly be the stupidest question I've ever been asked!

Oh, and little elf dudes? Yes, the rumors you've heard are true.

You WILL end up in this jar. just like every other elf!

The HALLOWEEN category saw lots of additions. These blow molds, vintage and new, were $1 each. I'm selling a couple of these, so check my sidebar to see what I'm UN-hoarding on Ebay.

These are some of the die cuts that I got at that same estate sale.

I've always wanted these two.

The best part is that they were 25 cents each!

The PATRIOTIC category got one addition. I've been seeing these hats all summer. They're vintage, and I love them, but they're made of styrofoam, and I've felt that they would break so easily. This one was so cheap that I decided I wouldn't feel too bad if it broke.

The McCOY POTTERY category got that big pink vase added to it.

And the VINTAGE AVON category received another parakeet bottle and that groovy Demistik, Hawaiian White Ginger scented. My favorite when I was a teenager!

And last we have three additions to the VINTAGE GARDENING TOOLS category. All in all, a very fine week for collecting. Again, don't forget to check out what I'm selling on Ebay each week, because you might have seen something here that you liked, and it just might be for sale!
So, did any of your collecting categories get some additions?

MY WEEKEND FINDS

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of My Weekend Finds, the continuing saga of one girl's quest for more junk!

The weather was fine, and my painful foot wasn't bothering me too much, so I headed to the flea market on Sunday, where I found this cute yet very rusty watering can.

I put it on the green cabinet, to keep the other children's watering can that I have company.

I had to have this vintage oven mitt, because I've never seen a pink one before.

I also found another Ohio Art world globe bank. It's official: I have three, no now it's a collection!

That big bluish-green USA pot came from a garage sale. I don't know if you remember this, but I said before that I don't have much more room for vintage pottery in the house, so now I'm decorating the porches with them.

This pink McCoy pot came from the same sale. I'm afraid I'm going to have to find some room inside for this one!

Last but not least, a cement cat to guard over all of the stuff that still needs to be planted.
I didn't get alot this week, but what I did get, I like alot! Did you find any goodies over the weekend that you like alot?

PINK SATURDAY-Pink Christmas Gifts!

I've been waiting patiently to share with all of you pink lovers the gifts that I found under the Christmas tree, and today is the day!

Another vintage pink radio! I love this little cutie, and this one will be staying in the kitchen. Santa somehow always knows exactly what I want!

Santa also brought two of these vintage Miramar Pottery hanging planters. I'd been searching Ebay for a year trying to find one of these. Thank goodness Santa has a PayPal account!

I hung one in the bedroom, and I think it looks great with the old barkcloth curtains.

The other one is hanging in the bathroom.

And my daughter gave me this cute pink cottage tin, full of chocolate chip cookies!
I'll be linking up this evening to How Sweet The Sound, where Beverly hosts Pink Saturday each and every week!

Pottery Extravaganza!

I love when a theme develops while you're garage saling. The theme this past weekend was pottery! I consider it a good week if I find just one piece of vintage pottery, but last week I scored 5 pieces.

First there were vases. The ones on the left and right are old Floraline vases. The one in the middle is USA Pottery, and I'm nuts for it!

And then there was this lovely blue vase. It was almost like it was waving me over to have a closer look. It's so curvaceous!

And then there was this old Haeger pot. I've never seen this shape before, so it came home with me too. Yep, definitely a pottery theme last week.

And although they aren't vintage pottery, these trick-or-treaters got to come home with me too. Along with those teeny-tiny pumpkins that the seller grew himself, and sold for a dime apiece. So, was there a theme to your thrifting last week?

Weekend Finds

I did pretty good at the garage sales this weekend. It seems that since I've made a conscious effort to start collecting pottery, I'm finding some every week. That makes me happy! I think this beauty is my favorite. 10" of sheer beauteousness. YES, that IS a word, when collecting pottery! It was $1.00. I love this USA pottery planter. I've been wanting one like this for a while. 50cents!

A pretty little barkcloth pillow. 50cents.

A pink quilt for our daughter's bed. She takes hers to college with her, so I wanted something on the bed while she was away. She'll either love it or hate it. The gravy boat I am going to drill a hole in the bottom, so that I can plant a little flower in it, and set it on the porch. The pattern is "Avon Cottage", made in Staffordshire England. Do you think it's sacrilegious to drill a hole in it? I do, but I'm doing it anyway!

A honeycomb turkey, plastic roses!, aluminum glasses which I will sell on Ebay, a cute little clock because I am a sucker for cute little clocks, and two vintage blingy bow pins, 50cents for the pair.

And this I found at Menards. Have you seen the short infomercials for these, where they're $14.95 for 3 huge, bulbous ones? Well I didn't want a bulbous one, I wanted a nice, low profile one, so I thought this was a great deal at $1.99 for a 5 1/2" one. They also had the bigger ones. I can't remember the price, but they were WAY cheaper then getting them from those infomercials. I'm always happy when Walgreens gets all the "As Seen On TV" stuff in, so I don't have to pay shipping. Because, by golly, I've just GOT to have me a ShamWoW, and PediPaws, and let's not forget the HairDini! Have a great weekend, everyone!
