A Crafty Weekend

Is it wrong to fall in love with a paper punch? I know you gals with your Cricuts have a love thing going on!

I just bought this Martha Stewart edge punch. Isn't it beautiful? I know, I know, you probably have one already. But I am very new to this tag-making experience.

I thought I would try to make a tag before I make one of Elizabeth's, for her Tag Along. She will be making a different tag every month, and she provides the graphics for them. You can copy hers, or make it your own. So I made this little one, to get some practice. The crepe paper was definitely the boss of me, instead of the other way around! But I am learning. I wish you could see the glittery parts, because I love the Stickles glitter glue that I used. Either way, I want to use that edge punch to make many more!

I also made a bunch of felt and flannel hearts, all a little different from one another.

I acquired alot of apothecary jars last year. Last year. That sounds funny to say!

So I needed to fill those jars with lots of hearts, and felt ones seemed the cheapest way. Seven down, many more to go. I hope you found time this weekend to craft!

OHHHHHHHHHHHH I love those hearts! What a cute idea, I need something to fill my apothecary jars with and that is such a creative idea. Of course I have no craft talent but I might try! Your tag is very cute!

Love it! Very cute! I might have to borrow the felt heart idea. The tag is adorable! I love those edge punches. I've used them on plain white stickers for little labels and such.

Those are so cute. So far I've found time to clean and time to slice a nice chunk off my thumb (my sewing thumb) with the mandolin while slicing potatoes for scalloped potatoes and hame. No crafting so far.

Your tag turned out so cute!! Using the lace punch was the perfect touch. Very creative.
I am also loving the felt hearts in the apothecary jars...I think there will be felt hearts in jars all over blogland (including my house).

I love your tag! You are really on the ball with your Valentine decorations. I haven't did a bit of crafting this year.

I've been eyeing that particular punch. (I bought the icicle one and was quite pleased with it.) I think I like yours a lot. I do love how those arms fold up, and how you can match up your cuts - oh, it takes so little to make some people happy.

Well, I'm behind the times. I didn't know those punches even existed. I do know about the cricut though. Very cute projects!
I posted about the bird and flower tutorial you requested. Had to give someone else the credit...why reinvent the wheel!

Carol, I loved seeing all your crafts! Lindsey has a Cricut and it does do amazing things. Martha's punches are the best! We have several of those and use them all the time. I love your jars! Have a nice day! Twyla
