PINK SATURDAY

Will you be my Pink Valentine?! I made these little decorations last year, and they're now hanging on my green cabinet.

A vintage candy box, sitting on an old biscuit tin/sewing basket, with pink flowers on it.

A vintage valentine that I got for 25 cents. There is a booth at one of the antique malls that sells all of their vintage cards for that price, and she always has tons of them. Inside it says:

You're just as truly my Sweetheart now
As in our single days,
But a nearer, dearer Sweetheart
In a thousand sweeter ways.

Awwwww! How come cards don't say such sweet things these days?! Did you notice the quilt that the card is sitting on? My sister made it for me for Christmas, and it's loaded with vintage fabrics. I wish I could have just one yard of that fabric to the left, with all of the cute pink clocks!
If you would like to see more pinks, why not head over to How Sweet The Sound, where Beverly hosts this pink lovin' party each week!

  26. First, and most importantly, YES I want to see a photo of you in your cheesehead and full GB Packers garb!!! :) While we live in Kansas City and SO wanted our Chiefs to win just ONE playoff game, that didn't happen. Our poor team has been really bad in recent years, so we were thrilled they went as far as they did. HOWEVER, hubs and I will be pulling for the Packers come SB Sunday. I won't have a cheesehead on, but I will probably be nibbling on some yummy cheese and thinking of you!! :)

I went thrifting today and found nothing. However, it was GREAT just to be outside.....our temps were in the mid 50s!

I love the wonderful quilt your sis made for you and I agree, they just don't put those great sentiments in cards these days! I can't find a good vintage card for less than 1-3:00 a card. You are lucky to pick them up for a quarter!

Hope you have a great PS!!! dana

  32. Good morning crafty Carol! Cute goodies you made there! Are you going to make anything this year? I keep waiting for the valentine bug to bite me but it hasn't yet!

I'm always amazed how cheap we can get vintage cards! I mean- the new ones cost more! What's up with that?

Maybe you've shown your whole quilt before? but I think we would all like to see the whole thing! Pink clocks indeed! ♥

I was cleaning out the closet in my studio this weekend and found the lid to a heart shaped papier mache box and thought, now what am I going to do with just a lid? Guess I know now, lol, thanks to your cute creation! Have a great week, Nan
