Fire King And McKee Jadite-VTT
It's time for VTT, where we all share our vintage stuff at Coloradolady, where Suzanne is our wonderful hostess!
Today I'm sharing my collection of Jadite glassware. Jadite refers to the green color of the glassware. I used to have more, but I sold alot of it on Ebay. My little kitchen can only hold so much! Fire King jadite was made in the 40s by Anchor Hocking. McKee Glass Company was started in 1843. Here we have a large McKee measuring pitcher.
These are both Fire King mixing bowls.
I believe this one is called a batter bowl. It's Fire King.
These S&P shakers are always very expensive at antique stores, so we have stopped using them! I would hate to have to pay $35 to replace one of them! Isn't that ridiculous?
A McKee juice reamer.
This is a big canister made by McKee.
A little Fire King creamer, and I don't know what the other piece is. Maybe a sugar bowl. I've never seen Fire King pieces with decals on them.
The other side of the sugar bowl. Sure wish I knew if it was made this way, or if someone added the decals later. Anyone know?
A set of Fire King plates. I believe the pattern is called Jane Ray.
And finally we have three Fire King cups. I'll have a cup of tea in these once in a while, otherwise they just sit in the cupboard. Well that's it for me. Now head on over to Suzanne's to see more vintage things!
