I forgot all about this old Avon Miss Lollipop perfume bottle.
I completely forgot about this old cosmetic pad dispenser.
These are cosmetic pads, in case you didn't know what I was talking about. You know, from back in the day when women used cold cream to take their makeup off. Unfortunately I couldn't find any square pads, which are supposed to go in there. And I'm a soap and water kind of girl, so I've never actually used this thing, but I sure do like it and I'm glad I found it again!
This quilt wasn't found in my towel cabinet, but on my porch, left by the mailman. I won Kelee Katillac's giveaway! I can't give you a link to her blog, because it's currently under construction. I was so surprised to find that there wasn't one but two quilts in the box.
And this one definitely has lots of pink in it! It needs some TLC, but if I fold it very creatively, it looks terrific!

I think I mentioned once before that I loved that Avon lollipop girl when I was young. I have the same one but I had to re-purchase her a few years ago at an antique shop.
I loved the Avon lady who visited. She smelled like flowers and her nails and her nail machine that dried your nails...and those little lipsticks! I remember how I felt so grown up when I was allowed to wear Sweet Honesty perfume. It was right smack in the dab middle of my Donny Osmond days and I was sure if I could just get in touch with Donny...he'd pick me!!!

What fun - I really like everything. The quilt is beautiful.
I love quilts and the one you won is just lovely! I've never seen one of those make up pad containers, but I know I've seen the square pads. Try Big Lots or Wal-mart. I use the pads all the time to clean mascara off my face or other make up mishaps. You'll find some way to use them.

What a delightful visit for Pink Saturday. That old Avon bottle definitely brought back fun family memories to this baby boomer granny nanny! And what a cute Thanksgiving graphic at the top! My grandkids and I are thoroughly enjoying Thanksgiving and Christmas activities for grandparents and their grandchildren so that was an extra special treat. Have a blessed week.

Carol, I love that cosmetic pad dispenser! A local supermarket sells the square pads if you ever want some. The quilt is gorgeous, too!
Amazing how that "Out of sight-out of mind," thing works. But, always pleasant when they come back in sight again.
