REDNESDAY
It's True Confessions time. I must confess that I'm a Vintage Christmas-aholic! It's all I had eyes for this past weekend. And that's all I found too, so I decided to save it all for Rednesday instead of doing my normal Weekend Finds post. The magazine above is from the flea market several weeks ago.
I went to an extremely overpriced antique show, and there was only one booth that was very reasonable. I've been coveting those old Empire noel candle lights for an eternity, and finally found them at my price. I think I'll replace the lights with those clip-on ones from the dollar store though, because old lights give me the willies. And I can never pass up a great old Santa tin!
A couple more Santa mugs to sit on the kitchen windowsill. I think I've picked up several of these since last Christmas, so it might be time to assess the Santa mug collection, and see if it needs to move to a larger venue than the windowsill!
Another vintage tablecloth, which might have a second life as kitchen curtains. I've decided that I don't have nearly enough cute tablecloths, so I'm announcing right here that I will not be passing up a single cheaply priced vintage tablecloth ever again! Plus, I'm secretly hoping that my daughter might one day decide that she does in fact like vintage things!
And last is a cute little Made In Japan angel. One more thing that I feel I don't have nearly enough of! It seems a shame to pack all of this away, when I'll just have to unpack it the day after Thanksgiving. Might as well start decorating now! Have you started yet?

Hi Carol,
Of course I love your vintage Christmas goodies! Santa tin is the best! Linens also "call" to me! Great idea to make kitchen curtains with one of them.
Warmly,
deb :)
LOve your finds. Pretty! Those santas were so popular. We got one of those. Not the exact face though. Its seem like if one person make then, everybody have to. Have a good day.

From what you shared today, I believe you ready for Santa to come. Nice post for red day.
Now the Santa on your Christmas tin is quintessential Santa for me! Love it. The little reindeer is so cute too!
I collect vintage table cloths and that one is gorgeous. I'm laughing because I remember my grandmother had a pile of those magazine on her night stand....brings back a lot of memories.

I didn't know you liked vintage Christmas! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Every time I see a vintage Christmas item I think of you! I found three boxes of Shiny Brite ornaments last week at a thrift store for....wait for it....25 cents a box! I thought to myself, Carol would hate me right now.
You found some great stuff and I'm looking forward to seeing all of your vintage Christmas items this holiday season.
Jane

Drool, drool, sigh, sigh, I do love your finds. I'll take them all please. Actually, what a great idea to make curtains with the tablecloth. That is what I have in my kitchen windows. I am starting to decorate for Christmas now as well. A little here and there.
What wonderful 'reds' you have found. My mama had that very same tablecloth when I was a young chick and I drank hot cocoa outta those Santa cups at Granny Walden's farmhouse.
Nope, no Christmas on the Ponderosa yet. We have 35-37 of the clan comin' in for Thanksgivin' but right after the turkey is eaten and the dishes are done I'm on it 100%!!!
God bless and have a most marvelous Rednesday!!! :o)
Carol you are not alone. I am a vintage nut as well.
And, you are welcome to stop by my blog and vent a little any time. I agree with everything you said on my red post this week. Thanks for the visit.
OH!! I am so loving your Vintage Christmas things!! I have a few myself and I am always on the look out for more!!
Warmly,

Carol - just to let you know you won our drawing for the 150 follower! I will need your address so stop by or email me at calcatsndogs@gmail.com. Congrats!
I must confess also, that I'm hoping one day my daughter will love vintage too. She is so modern, a real Ikea type of gal, simple and her mother is cluttered and vintage and loves her stuff. Oh well, we understand each other Carol!
Did you get your paper doll dress with your name on it?
This year my husband was first out of the starting gate for Christmas...he is more ready than I to decorate so I told him...go for it...get the lights up. We are doing a real childlike yard for the little ones in our neighborhood...mice and bears and of course, a few gnomes.
Our local Salvation Army has a treasure chest of vintage...check it out if you have one in your area. I think every sweet granny on the planet gives there old stuff to the Salvation Army!
Happy Holly-Days to you my friend!
Carol, I am so glad to know I am not the only one who loves those old plastic yard decorations. My wish list would be the singing choir boys. Your Noel finds are just wonderful! What a collection of Christmas cute you have got going! Have a lovely Thanksgiving holiday! Elizabeth
Oh, your Vinatge Christmas things bring back so many wonderful childhood memories. I dont blame you for wanting to buy them..
Awesome, Carol! You got some great goodies! I have certainly been thinking of decorating early, but my family would kill me, I'm sure!
I also love vintage Christmas items! I think I have the exact same Santa mugs that you do!
Happy Rednesday and happy Thanksgiving!
I love seeing all your Christmas reds! Have a wonderful day! Twyla
